Nonprofit/PSA | SCV Food Pantry Hands Out Over 700 Turkeys, Chickens
|
The Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry kicked off the holiday season during Thanksgiving week by handing out over 700 turkeys and chickens, ushering in a spirit of generosity and volunteerism they hope will continue through the rest of the holidays. This generous offer was made possible through numerous donations, including the SCV Rotary Club, the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, and a $5,000 Macy’s grant, which helped the SCV Food Pantry purchase an additional 125 turkeys and chickens. In 2023, the SCV Food Pantry had over 75,326 client visits, averaging over 7,000 client engagements each month. The Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry relies on the generous support of the community and their volunteers. They are always in need of non-perishable foods, donations, and volunteer help.
