On this segment of SCVTV’s Community Corner, Morgan Lazo, Librarian for the city of Santa Clarita, shares details of the monthlong event known as “One Story One City,” which is celebrating its 10th year.

Morgan gives us a sneak peek at the fun and engaging activities planned in honor of this year’s book selection, “The Inheritance of Orquídea Divina” by Zoraida Córdova.

The mission of One Story One City is to foster citywide discussions and engagement with stories that appeal to all ages and interests.

NOTE: Due to the nature of some of the topics covered in “The Inheritance of Orquídea Divina,” this story is recommended for adults and not suitable for readers under the age of 18. However, there will be family-friendly activities, including shadowbox crafts, bowl making and Cumbia and Salsa dance instruction available for a younger audience.
