More from This Week’s Guest Lineup
Starting off this week’s episode, host Carrie Lujan and guest host Deputy Robert Jensen, who is filling in for Dave Caldwell, discuss the exciting lineup ahead. In anticipation of the upcoming Bike to Work Challenge, Carrie and Deputy Jensen talk about safety and the rules of the road when using e-bikes and e-motorcycles. Deputy Jensen also shares valuable information about the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Explorer Program and highlights LASD’s meaningful fundraiser at California Pizza Kitchen on May 22, which will benefit Special Olympics of Southern California.

The hosts then chat with Pamela Ripling and Shelly Jefferis from Single Mothers Outreach, who highlight all the fun planned for their 90s-themed celebration, “Cheers to 30 Years!” The nonprofit will be commemorating 30 years of impact in the Santa Clarita Valley.

Next, we sit down with Nicki Voss from the Old Town Newhall Association, who shares exciting details about the inaugural Old Town Newhall Art Walk, a community event that brings together local artists, businesses, and art lovers for a day of creativity, exploration, and discovery.

Following that, Lindsay Schmandt from the City of Santa Clarita talks about the return of the Bike to Work Challenge, which encourages residents to ditch their cars and commute by bike. The challenge will feature pit stops, giveaways, chances to win prizes, and plenty of opportunities to connect with fellow cyclists in the community.

Joe Garcia from Dog Fit LA explains the importance of fostering and introduces us to Jelly, a gorgeous, curious, and playful Husky who is ready for her forever home.

Finally, find out how you can celebrate cultures from around the world at “Celebrate,” featured in a brand-new episode of “This Week in Santa Clarita.”
