In this segment of SCVTV’s Community Corner, Phil Lantis, Arts and Events Manager for the city of Santa Clarita, takes us back in time as he gives us an exciting sneak preview of the 2025 Newhallywood Silent Film Festival.

This year’s lineup will honor the works of legendary icons Lon Chaney and Sergei Eisenstein, while paying tribute to Santa Clarita’s pivotal role in the history of silent films.

The three-day festival will take place May 23 through Sunday, May 25, at the Newhall Family Theatre and The MAIN in Old Town Newhall.
