Kicking off this episode of SCVTV’s Community Corner, co-hosts Carrie Lujan and Dave Caldwell chat about exciting news coming to Santa Clarita, including the city of Santa Clarita’s acquisition of William S. Hart Park from Los Angeles County and important deadlines for the upcoming, highly anticipated Fourth of July Parade.

Carrie gives a sneak preview of what’s ahead when the City officially takes over day-to-day operations at Hart Park, including a look inside the Hart Park Museum, which has preserved local history by keeping William S. Hart’s mansion exactly as he left it.

The hosts also share registration deadlines for the hugely popular, community-favorite Santa Clarita Valley Fourth of July Parade.

The deadline to enter your parade float is June 15. A late deadline of June 22 is available with an additional fee. This year’s parade theme is:
“Home is Where the Heart Is — Welcome Hart Park.”
