SCVTV's Community Corner | Hart Program Guides Students to Career Success
|
In this segment of SCVTV’s Community Corner, Carolyn Hoffman, Director of the William S. Hart Union High School District’s College and Career Readiness Program, shares valuable insights into the many exciting, work-based opportunities available to students for gaining real-world experience while still in school. One standout opportunity is the TV Experience Career Technical Education (CTE) pathway, which brings students behind the scenes right here at SCVTV. Through our partnership with the Hart District, students get hands-on training in a professional studio setting—learning everything from technical directing and camera operation to stage management and even guest hosting. It’s a dynamic way for students to explore the world of media production and jump-start future careers while still in high school. But the program goes far beyond just TV and film. The Hart District’s College and Career Readiness Program offers a wide range of CTE pathways across industries like engineering, health and medical sciences, agriculture and natural resources, business, and more.
