Academy of the Canyons Middle College High School (AOC) has been part of the William S. Hart Union High School District for more than 25 years. The demanding, yet rewarding curriculum allows students who are in ninth-12th grades the ability to take high school and college courses to get a head start on higher education.

AOC Principal Dr. Juliet Fine was joined by current AOC students Emma Campos and Jaden Delact to discuss the benefits of a being middle college student in a smaller more intimate school setting.

While the school does not have an athletic department, Campos and Delact explained how the wide-range of clubs offered on campus gives many opportunities for students to connect in a supportive environment.

Fine is also inviting the community to AOC’s Information Night Nov. 4-5, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at College of the Canyons, Valencia Campus, Room 258. This will mark the first time the event will be held in-person since the COVID-19 pandemic.
