Summer adventures can be fun for the whole family — including our four-legged friends. But they can also present some potential health risks that can quickly become dangerous if pet owners are not careful.

Before we take a look into summer pet safety, Jen Gray, founder of Sunny Day Acres, brought along Bugatti, the adorable six year old Parti Poodle, ready for his forever home.

Bugatti is hypoallergenic, adores children and is amazing with both dogs and cats. He also has a very calm demeanor but prefers to be around people when he’s outside. Although his breed typically lives approximately 12 to 14 years, Bugatti still has plenty of life left in him.

Gray then shares vital information to help keep our pooches safe from common summer dangers, including hot pavements, sand, heat stroke, and even the risks of giving dogs too much water. She also discusses the availability of a vaccine and snake aversion training to help protect dogs during potential encounters with rattlesnakes.
