SCVTV's Community Corner | Vista Canyon Multi-Modal Center’s Senior Engineer Shares Building Process of New Transit Hub
|
Vista Canyon Multi-Modal Center’s Senior Engineer Carla Callahan shares how this new hub went from a patch of land in Canyon Country to Santa Clarita’s fourth link to Metrolink services and transportation options. Additionally, she describes her path into engineering and how her background led to her overseeing the massive Vista Canyon project, a project that spanned 10 years of push, pull, development, and, ultimately, triumph. With the final spike hammered into the line, Vista Canyon Multi-Modal Center is now serving those looking to go North or South on the Antelope Valley line. The Vista Canyon Multi-Modal Center is located along Metrolink’s Antelope Valley Line, serviced by 22 Metrolink Antelope Valley trains that can take riders from L.A. Union Station to Palmdale, and back again. Plus, the new state-of-the-art hub boasts a bus transfer station, which will serve Santa Clarita’s local commuter buses like GO! Santa Clarita and Dial-a-Ride; it also features a large parking area and 18 bike lockers. For more information about the Vista Canyon Multi-Modal Center, head to the City of Santa Clarita’s website.
