Michelle Sathe is the assistant features editor and a longtime writer for The Signal newspaper, where she has extensively covered animal issues in the Santa Clarita Valley and beyond. Michelle is a board member at The Brittany Foundation, a no-kill dog rescue in Agua Dulce, as well as a board member of Bow-Wows & Meows, a Santa Clarita nonprofit agency that hosts an annual adoption event for L.A. County Shelter animals. She is the author of "Pit Stops: Crossing the Country with Loren the Rescue Bully" (Say The Words Press 2010).
Hsiawen Hull has been the lead volunteer for Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control at the Castaic Shelter for nine years. He is also a level-3 truck team member for the LACDACC Equine Response Team; an animal evaluator for the National Disaster Search Dog Foundation; and a board member of Bow-Wows & Meows, acting as shelter liaison for the organization.
