The City of Santa Clarita settled a lawsuit Tuesday that likely avoided millions of dollars in legal fees. The Santa Clarita City Council voted 3-1 to send a billboard deal from Metro to a second reading on March 25. An extensive new roster of the victims of the St. Francis Dam disaster on March 12, 1928 was released Wednesday. Santa Clarita’s jobless rate fell to 5.5 percent in January, according to data released by the state. More than 50 restaurants, wineries and breweries are signed up to participate in the annual Taste of the Town fundraiser for the Santa Clarita Valley Child & Family Center.
