About 1,000 West Creek Academy students, parents, administrators and teachers created a “living painting” of a piano Friday.

Santa Clarita’s unemployment rate is down 1.2 percent this year over last.

After more than a half-dozen meetings and hundreds of comments, high-speed rail officials say they’re still figuring out how to include our concerns in their multi-billion dollar plan.

He’s known affectionately as “the Mayor of Newhall” and “Uncle Joe”.  Deputy Joe Trejo retired this week as community relations deputy for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

We’ll see temperatures warm up a few degrees over the weekend, and then more so at the start of next week.
