Santa Clarita Essay Contest:  The Santa Clarita Valley is having an essay contest. Cash prizes will be awarded will for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes. The three topics that you can choose from are the role of public schools in the nation’s history, what leadership means today, and how patriotism remains relevant in a modern world. All essay are due by Friday, October 26. If you have any questions or want more details see Mr. Drabinski in 627.

Let’s Do This!:  Hey Sierra Vista! The “Let’s Do This” homeroom meets TODAY during RELAX! After brunch, go to your  “Let’s Do This” homeroom teacher’s room to hear which homerooms and teams are in the lead! Can’t wait to see who’s getting FRAPPUCCINOS! Please be sure to bring and cash or check donations and pledge sheets to your “Let’s Do This Homeroom.” You can get another Pledge Sheet from the ASB window so you can earn more donations and prizes! Aaaaand don’t forget that the LAST and final critter coupon turn in is this Wednesday during brunch at the outdoor stage!

September Attendance Awareness Month: Attend all classes, on time, everyday and receive prizes, such as In-N-Out Gift certificates and movie tickets. Winners will be announced every Monday, so if you can’t make it for whatever reason, one week, don’t worry, you will get an opportunity to start fresh the following week.

Homework Club: If you need some help in your classes, there is a schedule of after school tutoring. (Check graphic for more info.)

Reduced School Lunch: Students must turn in a new free and reduced lunch application. As of September 14, all students that don’t have a new application on file will be deleted from the school lunch system and will not receive any free/reduced lunch resources until a new application is submitted. If you have not submitted a new application for this year or need help with a new application, please see our school nurse, a counselor, or anyone in the office to pick up a form. This form will need to get turned into the Health Office immediately.
