More from This Week’s Guest Lineup
Kicking off this week’s episode, host Carrie Lujan welcomes Logan Galarza, a senior at Hart High School, and Sophie Liepack, a sophomore at West Ranch High School. Both are students in the TV Experience CTE pathway, just one of many work-based learning opportunities offered to Hart District students to help them become “opportunity ready.” Logan and Sophie take turns co-hosting in this fun and educational episode.

The hosts then speak to Carolyn Hoffman, Director of the Hart District’s College and Career Readiness Program, who explains why being “opportunity ready” is so vital to student success and long-term career goals.

Next, we sit down with Jaya George, Faculty Director at College of the Canyons, who dives into COC’s newest curriculum: the Pharmacy Technician Program. This new course aims to meet the growing demand for skilled medical professionals as our aging population increases. Jaya explains what the course entails and how prospective students can apply.

Following that, we meet Brandon Chang, an inspirational junior at West Ranch High School who discovered his passion through a love of science. Brandon is the founder and CEO of GalaxSea Explorers, a local nonprofit bringing science education to kids of all ages, especially those in underserved communities.

And Stacy Gunderson, Executive Director for Animal Tracks Inc. returns with three fascinating animals! You’ll meet Chrissy the baboon, Badger the striped skunk, and Casper & Cami the cockatoos!

Plus, find out how YOUR art could be featured on Santa Clarita Transit’s first-ever TAP Card in a new episode of “This Week in Santa Clarita.”
