The Walnut St. Theater Players is a highly-competitive, afterschool, enrichment program for third and fourth graders in the Newhall School District.

Dr. Leticia Hernandez, superintendent of the Newhall School District and Kate Peattie, assistant superintendent of school instruction, shine a spotlight on the eight-week course where students develop theater skills while working together as part of an ensemble.

The program culminates in a student performance at the historic Newhall Family Theatre on Thursday, June 4 as part of the district’s Celebration of the Arts.
