Mint Canyon Community School debuted a new feature on Wednesday that was about 10 years in the making: a new stoplight to help ease the flow of traffic at the school’s entrance. The community’s help is needed in finding the suspect of a fatal hit and run that happened the day after Christmas on Sierra Highway. During Tuesday’s City Council meeting, Santa Clarita volunteers were named to help in the planning and funding of the city’s arts, community recreation, and city projects. SCV Sheriff’s helped save a dog that was found wandering along Old Orchard Road on Wednesday and they’re now hoping to find her owner. COC is offering two informational nights for high school seniors to help them better assist with the transition to collegiate life.
