CLUBS & ACTIVITIES – Today in Clubs and Activities, the Metal Fusion Club meets in room 902, and the Writer’s Club meets in room 102 at lunch.
ASB – Attention 7th graders that would like to apply to have ASB for their 8th grade elective class: there will be a mandatory informational meeting in room 1002 at the beginning of lunch on Wednesday, March 20th. We will discuss the application procedures and responsibilities of ASB students. If you have any questions, or you are unable to make the meeting, please see Mrs. Terranova in room 1002 ahead of time.
LUNCHTIME ACTIVITY – Hey Plainsmen! St. Patrick’s Day was this weekend, and we will be celebrating with a lunchtime activity this week! Prizes will be awarded to the winners! Come out to the quad on Friday, March 23, to search for the leprechaun’s pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Sign up by yourself, or sign up with three friends to form a team of four. Sign up TODAY in Room 1002.
BOOK FAIR – The Scholastic Book Fair is here! And for the first time, with at least a dollar donation, you have a chance to win a prize from our SV Library. Pick a pencil of your choice from “The Giving Tree” for each dollar you donate to the library. If it has green ink at the end of it, then you are a winner! We have lots of different prizes for you to choose from. So come and buy books, fun school supplies, or make a donation at our Paws for Reading Scholastic Book Fair.
YOUTH SERVICE PROJECT – Youth Service Project will be here Wednesday at Lunch with the Teen 411 on Healthy Eating and Nutrition. Stop by their table in the lunch area to complete a short survey, get the facts and get entered in a raffel to earn cool prizes. Everyone should want the 411 on healthy lifestyles!
SSA – Safe School Ambassadors, it is finally the week of Open House! Remember, we discussed donating snack and drink goods like granola bars, bags of chips, capri-suns and so forth to sell at Open House as a fundraiser for our group activities. If you have anything to donate, please bring it to Mrs. Flaherty’s room 101 by this Thursday after school. Also, if you offered to sell items at our SSA table during Open House, Mrs. Flaherty will be e-mailing you details via your school e-mail account and/or through a Remind message. Thanks for all you do!
HART GAMES – Let’s congratulate the students who represented our school in the Hart Games on Monday , March 19. They trained hard over the last couple weeks and competed to the best of their abilities. Many of our students were able to place at the top of the leaderboard in their individual races to help Sierra Vista to a great team victory.
TRAVEL CLUB – Attention Travel Club students: there will be a meeting this Friday, March 23rd at lunch, in Ms. Kontis’ room, 626. Please plan on attending as we will be doing our room assignments that day.
