New Heights Artist Development Series | May 20, 2020

Offered by the City of Santa Clarita this virtual workshop will feature three artists who will share tips, techniques and advice they have been using while working from home. The New Heights: Artist Development Workshops, which is designed to assist artists, performers, and arts organization representatives to expand their knowledge and to learn valuable tools to increase their ability to be successful. The series comprises workshops, panel discussions, and art trips that are designed to engage creative individuals, no matter what level of experience.

Featured Speakers: Marisa Caichiolo and HC Huynh Speaker Marisa Caichiolo www.marisacaichiolo.com Building Bridge Art Exchange https://www.buildingbridgesartexchang… Marisa Caichiolo is the Director of the Latin America Section, Curator of DiverseartLa for the LA Art Show who will be speaking about. Marisa was born in Argentina. She studied in the University of Buenos Aires and has a Master Degree in Art History, Restoration and Psychology. Her works as an artist have been showcased in Brazil, Mexico, Qatar, India, Lebanon, Malaysia, Singapore, France, Spain, Japan, Korea, China, Argentina as well as in New York and Los Angeles, San Francisco and Santa Fe within the United States. She is one of the Founders and curator of Building Bridges International Art Foundation in Los Angeles, USA. She has been an international curator and jury of various biennials and important prizes with the Ministry of Culture of Mexico, Chile, Argentina, USA, Qatar, and Sharjah.

Speaker: HC Huynh www.hcthuynh.com Elizabeth Foundation for The Arts https://www.efanyc.org HC Huynh is a multi-disciplinary artist and arts administrator working in New York City. Her practice reflects notions of identity, power and oppression, and social behavior often through her alter ego, The Dunce. She has an MFA in Painting from Pratt Institute and a BFA in both Art Education and Painting from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Her work has been shown at The Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts, Aquarius Gallery, Blackboard Gallery, and among others. With experience in the arts nonprofit sector with specific focus on arts administration and development, she has previously worked at the New Museum, Arts + Business Partners, and CITYarts, Inc. She currently is the Operations Coordinator at the Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts.
