Video Filming & Editing by Ryan Rivera; Article by Patricia Silva See a sneak peek and the construction progress of the future Bridge to Home Interim Shelter, which is scheduled to open to the community in April 2024. The future shelter is being built on a 2.9 acre site that will house a 18,680 square-foot full-service interim housing shelter facility and will provide interim housing for 60 individuals. Additionally, this shelter will be the first in the family shelter in the region, capable of housing up to 32 people across 8 separate apartment-style units. Aside from the rooms, the shelter will also have a functional kitchen, dining room, medical exam rooms, and meeting rooms, along with other amenities to help people bridge to permanent housing. The project is a collaboration between the City of Santa Clarita, Los Angeles County Fifth District Supervisor Kathryn Barger, and Los Angeles County. Donations are welcome to help further Bridge to Home’s services. The shelter is located at 23031 Drayton Street in Newhall, CA.
