About Sleepy Valley At first brush, Sleepy Valley is a Los Angeles, CA. quintet veered to the rural edges both in landscape and tonality but in presence are song-writers at heart. With an alternative, rock-n-roll, and punk skeleton with the spirit of folk storytelling echoed in the blues, rag-time, and Americana. Bending genres to capture the ghost of past stories and morph them to contemporary toe-tappers. Sleepy Valley emerged 2015 as a mostly rural suburban folks do, through a small network of other local bands throughout the Santa Clarita Valley Scene. Playing everything from local cafes with acoustics and shakers to the original five-piece at The Three Clubs and Loaded in Hollywood, CA. With their first full length album in production, “The Long Bright Dark,” Sleepy Valley is translating their message to performances all over Southern California to expand the small but vibrant grease/ punk-base of Los Angeles but translate the message across platforms and genres.
