Memorial Obelisks at Central Park

Standing at 11-feet tall and adorned with murals made up of a myriad of hand-cut colorful tile pieces, two custom-built obelisks stand at the center of Memorial Plaza located at Central Park. Built to withstand the test of time and give the Saugus community a place to heal and reflect, the obelisks were made to commemorate the lives of Gracie Muehlberger and Dominic Blackwell.

The murals on each side of the obelisks were intricately and thoughtfully made by the team at Joseph & Sons who worked closely with the Muehlberger and Blackwell families. Using mosaic tiles to represent the things Gracie and Dominic loved, they created a way to share their passions and personalities with the community.

The obelisks are displayed near the entrance of Central Park located at 27150 Bouquet Canyon Rd.
